Okay, so I know that I said this blog had moved, but I missed the KIK blog too much, so here I am back again. I've rethought the blog's direction, though, and have a new one. I want you to have fun here, so I'm going to try to bring you regular news from the toy-making world, including how-tos and photos and little stories along the way.
Like what I saw at the Grapevine Market yesterday. First, let me acquaint you with the Market. It's small, only about 30 vendors or so, but it's regular and I've gotten to know some of the other vendors, so it's fun despite the 106° heat! Under the trees, surrounding a beautiful little fountain... which is where I saw the most beautiful dog!
Bentley is a year-old Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, and he's really, really soft. Just like a big teddy bear, I wanted to take him home and put him on my bed. I don't think he'd stay there long, though. He kept wanting to jump in the fountain (who could blame him in that heat?). His owner was scooping handfuls of water from the fountain for the pup to drink, until I mentioned the amount of chlorine in the water. But I knew he was thirsty, so I offered ice from my cooler. Well! Bently just loves ice, and happily chewed it till it was gone. Then he went right back to trying to get in the fountain. It was so hot, I wanted to join him there!
