Welcome Back!

Okay, so I know that I said this blog had moved, but I missed the KIK blog too much, so here I am back again. I've rethought the blog's direction, though, and have a new one. I want you to have fun here, so I'm going to try to bring you regular news from the toy-making world, including how-tos and photos and little stories along the way.

Like what I saw at the Grapevine Market yesterday. First, let me acquaint you with the Market. It's small, only about 30 vendors or so, but it's regular and I've gotten to know some of the other vendors, so it's fun despite the 106° heat! Under the trees, surrounding a beautiful little fountain... which is where I saw the most beautiful dog!

Bentley is a year-old Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, and he's really, really soft. Just like a big teddy bear, I wanted to take him home and put him on my bed. I don't think he'd stay there long, though. He kept wanting to jump in the fountain (who could blame him in that heat?). His owner was scooping handfuls of water from the fountain for the pup to drink, until I mentioned the amount of chlorine in the water. But I knew he was thirsty, so I offered ice from my cooler. Well! Bently just loves ice, and happily chewed it till it was gone. Then he went right back to trying to get in the fountain. It was so hot, I wanted to join him there!

This is Barley, who looks just like Bentley.

THIS BLOG HAS MOVED

This blog has been merged with JoyfullyYoursSusannah.blogspot.com. Please visit me there! (Don't worry. All the posts have been successfully moved.)

Blog makeover and consolidation

Hello, friends! For the next week, there will be no posts about making crafts, no tutorials and no WOW Wednesdays, because I'm consolidating three blogs into one: JoyfullyYoursSusannah.blogspot.com. So please be patient while I move things over from Just Sew Like Me and Kids in Kahoots. Blogposts will be identified as coming from each particular segment, but the more blogs I read, the more I enjoy those that combine all it means to be family and creative at the same time.

Another reason for the hiatus is that I have a craft show one week from today, so I'll be busy getting ready for that. Please join me if you're in the area of north Dallas, TX. Please leave a comment if you need details.

So, browse around all the older posts in case you missed any, hop on over to JYS and then be prepared for a lot more to come!

WOW Wednesday: Made to Order Dog

My husband LOVES Jack Russell Terriers, especially the short type. So for his birthday last year, I made a JRT just for him. Now you can order one for yourself, with modifications (such as color and size), from my Etsy Store.

Tuesday Tutorial: Crocheted Cloche

Okay, folks, you know about my passion for all things 1920s, and especially for the cute little cloche "flapper hat." Well, today I found a crochet pattern (free!) that is so easy to follow and results in the cutest little cloche! Now, granted, I haven't finished mine yet, but I just couldn't wait to share the pattern with you. While you're there picking up the pattern, take the time to look around the blog. You'll find some really interesting and fun patterns and lots of cool stuff. Have fun! (Click on the image to be taken to http://daperfectmix.blogspot.com/.
